§ 7-181. Hearing.

  • The administrator shall conduct a hearing for the purpose of determining if the building in question is, in fact, unfit for human habitation, use or occupancy, inimical to the welfare and dangerous and injurious to the health, safety and morals of the public, and, that a public necessity exists for the repair or elimination of said building. The owner and parties in interest shall have the right to appear in person, or otherwise, and give testimony. The rules of evidence prevailing in courts of law and equity shall not be controlling in hearings before the administrator.
