Article XI. REPAIR AND DEMOLITION OF DILAPIDATED AND UNSAFE BUILDINGS |
§ 7-170. Findings that dilapidated and unsafe buildings exist.
It is hereby found and declared that there exist in the City of Tupelo, Mississippi dwellings and other buildings which are unfit for human habitation, use or occupancy due to the dilapidation, defects increasing the hazards of fires, accidents or other calamities, lack of ventilation, light or sanitary facilities, or due to other conditions rendering such dwellings and other buildings unsafe and unsanitary and dangerous or detrimental to the health, safety or morals, and otherwise inimical to the welfare of the residents of the City of Tupelo; and that a public necessity exists for the repair or elimination of such buildings.
