§ 5-38. Specific days and times of the leisure and recreation district Ordinance; Special Events.

(a)

Regular hours for the district shall be every Thursday and Friday from 5:00 p.m. until midnight, and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to midnight.

(b)

City of Tupelo Permitted Special Events. The City of Tupelo may elect to open all or a portion of the district in conjunction with persons or entities of events holding a special events permit as defined and permitted under chapter 5, articles I and II of this Code, The Director of the Downtown Main Street, shall have final administrative authority in approving opening the district, or portions thereof, for times other than set forth in sub-section A. above for purposes of permitted special events.

(c)

Within privately-owned alleyways (e.g. Davis Alley), the restricted times set forth in sub-section A. above shall not apply, and outside consumption of alcoholic beverages may be consumed only within such private alleyways during such times as otherwise allowed to be possessed, sold, distributed or consumed pursuant to Chapter 5 of this Code.
