§ 3-67. General maintenance of signs and premises.

  • (a)

    All signs and components thereof shall be maintained in a safe, neat, clean, attractive and structurally sound condition. All signs shall be kept neatly painted, including all metal parts and supports thereof that are not galvanized or of rust-resistant material.

    (b)

    The administrator or his authorized representative shall have the authority to inspect all signs and order the painting, repair, alteration or removal of a sign which shall constitute a hazard to the health, safety, or general welfare of the public by reason of inadequate maintenance, dilapidation or obsolescence.
