§ 2-171. Establishment and appointment.

The Tupelo Drainage Task Force Oversight Committee is established and composed of thirteen (13) members appointed by the mayor, subject to confirmation by the city council. In making the appointments, the mayor may consider nominations made by each councilmember. Additionally, the Executive Director of the Tombigbee Water Management District and the Chairman of the Town Creek Water Management District shall be ex-officio members. All members of the committee will be residents of the City of Tupelo and will serve on a volunteer basis.
