§ 2-57. Authority to issue citations.

The director of the department of planning and community development, the code enforcement officers and the city building inspectors are hereby granted authority to issue citations returnable to the municipal court or to other proper authority for violations of any of the ordinances which are to be enforced by such officials, and such citation shall have the same full force and effect as if issued by the police department of the city.
