§ 26-163. Declaration of water shortage crisis.
If the mayor and board of aldermen shall determine that a water shortage crisis exists, the mayor and board of aldermen may publicly declare a water shortage crisis by resolution or order which shall be effective from and after the date of passage. The resolution or order shall specify the term of the water shortage crisis which may be extended or terminated by resolution or order. The city clerk shall cause the resolution or order to be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the city within five (5) days after passage and shall distribute copies of the resolution or order to radio and television stations in the county.
