§ 17-136. General mechanical condition.

It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or cause to be operated upon the public streets of the city, any motor vehicle with defective brakes or defective steering gear, any part of the machinery or mechanism improperly adjusted or in such condition as to render it unsafe or dangerous to operate.
