§ 16-1. Definitions.

  • As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated, unless the same would be inconsistent with the manifest intent of the mayor and board of aldermen:

    Licensee means any person licensed to operate and maintain a mobile home park under the provisions of this chapter.

    Mobile home means any vehicle or similar portable structure so designed or constructed as to permit occupancy for dwelling or sleeping purposes, by whatsoever name it is colloquially or commercially known; regardless of whether or not its wheels are removed and the structure is fixed to a permanent foundation.

    Mobile home park means any lot or plot of ground upon which two (2) or more mobile homes occupied for dwelling or sleeping purposes are located, regardless of whether or not a charge is made for such accommodation.

    Mobile home space means a plot of ground within a mobile home park designed for the accommodation of one (1) mobile home.

    Natural or artificial barrier means any river, pond, canal, railroad, levee, embankment, fence or hedge.

    Permittee means any person to whom a temporary permit is issued to maintain or operate a mobile home park under the provisions of this chapter.
